Monster Hunter 3 is the third home console release of a series that got it's start back on the Playstation 2. It's created by the game company Capcom, who has given us such great franchises as Mega Man and Street Fighter. It is the best selling Wii Third Party game in Japan where it has been out since August.
Just like its previous installments you take on the role of a hunter who is tasked with investigating strange disasters that have befallen you village. Along the way you encounter increasingly stronger creatures, slay them, and use them as the components for making new weapons and armor which will give your character new abilities. New to the series will be underwater exploration and combat. Unlike most Wii games the online component will not require you to exchange friend codes as a necessity to play with your friends. Instead it has a built in lobby system for joining friends and meeting new ones.
